कभी कभी मिसरे पे जां यूँ अटके
ज़िन्दगी ऐसे गीत तू क्यों गा रही है
तेरे इशारे कुछ समझ ना आये
ऐ ज़िन्दगी तू मुझे क्या सिखा रही है
राह में इक भरम बिखेर के
खलिश-ए-तस्सुवर क्यों करा रही है
सबक़ के पन्ने यूँ जुड़ते जाएं
शायद ये मेहरबानी तू दिखा रही है…
